I hope this letter finds you willing to take control of the narrative of your life.
Think about this for a minute.
Who decided on the measurements that determine value?
Who decided the cost of products or services?
Who made up the rule that mathematical ability is more valuable than artistic gifts?
Who decided what constitutes an “inch”?
Who sets the standards of beauty?
Think about this carefully.
Who. Decides. What. Metrics. We. Use. For. Value.
But finding the “they” isn’t nearly as important as reclaiming your control over your own gauge of your worth.
“They” don’t get to decide if you’re worthy.
But if you don’t reclaim your own definition of your own value, you’re being measured and judged by “them.”
You’re letting them control your story and your life. You must take control of the narrative and create your own story!
For example, what if you stop feeling bad about your body or your age and you begin to revel in the idea that getting older is a privilege not afforded to some? What if the “problem” isn’t your body or your wrinkles but society’s over-valuing youth?
Or, what if you can’t wait to leap out of bed each morning to go to the job that you LOVE but doesn’t make you enough money for you to be considered “rich” by society’s standards? If you’re creating with joy, are you really poor?
What if you love being single?
What if you intuitively know that you don’t need to go to college?
What if you’d rather have time off to spend with your family?
What if you decided to take a risk and follow your Heart?
Isn’t it time you stop playing by the rules of an outdated game that is designed to keep you small and contracted?
It’s time to take back control of your narrative – your story – and choose a story that defines the value of your life. On your terms.
